Corporate Event DJ and MC for Maryland's Leading Organizations
Galas, awards dinners, holiday parties and client events across Greater Baltimore, Annapolis and the Eastern Shore, run on time, on brand and without surprises.
I'm Chris Luciano, a sales and marketing executive who has spent more than 20 years behind the microphone. I plan your program the way your leadership team would, then make sure your guests hear music that fits the room.

A Business Leader Behind the Mic
Most DJs learn corporate events from the stage. I learned them in the conference room. My career is in sales and marketing leadership, so my working life is spent around executives, sponsors, brand standards and deadlines. I know what it costs when a program runs long, when a sponsor's name is mispronounced, or when the CEO steps up to a microphone that isn't on. I'm also the author of the self-published book 21 Secrets to Self Motivation, so I understand the business side of your event as well as the dance floor.
That perspective shapes every event I plan. Before your guests arrive, the agenda, the order of remarks, the names that need to be said correctly and the moments that matter most to your leadership are already written into your script. On the microphone, the goal is to be clear, warm and brief: introduce your people, keep the program moving, and then step aside so they can be the focus.
What that means for your event
Your agenda stays on schedule. I treat the run-of-show like a client deliverable, with every transition timed and confirmed in advance.
Your brand is protected. Tone, language and music all match the standard your organization sets. Clean edits, a strict playlist or a theme. You set the rules and I follow them.
Your people are recognized correctly. Honorees, sponsors, donors and presenters are introduced with the names, titles and pronunciations we confirm together beforehand.
Your planner gains a partner, not another task. I communicate the way your team does: prompt replies, a written script and run-of-show, and a clear plan for the day.
Corporate and Nonprofit Events I Serve
From an intimate leadership dinner to a full ballroom gala, every event gets the same preparation. Here is the work I do for companies, associations and nonprofits across Maryland.
Galas and Fundraisers
As a nonprofit gala DJ and MC in Maryland, I help development teams keep the evening focused on the mission. Presenters are introduced clearly, sponsors and donors are recognized, your auction or fund-a-need moment gets clear announcements and well-timed music, and the room's attention is there when it matters most.
Awards Dinners and Recognition Nights
Walk-up music for honorees, names pronounced correctly, presenters cued on time, and a program that moves briskly from the first award to the last. This is where an experienced MC makes the biggest difference.
Company Holiday Parties
A holiday party should feel like a thank-you to your team. As a holiday party DJ in Baltimore, Annapolis and on the Eastern Shore, I keep welcome remarks short and polished, then build the music so every generation in the room feels comfortable joining in.
Client Appreciation and Networking Events
Background music that lets conversation happen, sound levels that don't compete with your hosts, and a clear microphone when it's time to welcome guests or thank a key client.
Conferences, Sales Meetings and Evening Events
Opening remarks, award segments, walk-on music for presenters, and the welcome or closing event that follows. I work alongside your venue's AV team so the move from stage program to dinner and music feels seamless.
Executive Retreats and Offsites
Leadership retreats, board dinners and team offsites in Annapolis, St. Michaels, Easton and across the Chesapeake Bay, with polished sound for remarks and the right soundtrack for the evening.
I also work with company milestones, product launches, association meetings and nonprofit community events. If you don't see your event here, ask.
How Your Event Comes Together
A simple four-step process built for busy planners. Nothing is left to chance. Every detail is reviewed and confirmed with you before the event, and at every stage you'll know what happens next and who is responsible for it.
1. Discovery Call
We talk through your goals, audience, agenda, venue and budget. I'll ask the questions your leadership will care about, and you'll receive a custom written proposal within one business day.
2. Your Script and Run-of-Show
I write your script from your agenda: the announcements, the order of awards and the pronunciation of every name, plus sponsor recognition and walk-up music. It sits inside a minute-by-minute run-of-show built on your event timeline, and you'll have a written copy to review, approve and share with your team and your venue.
3. Venue and AV Coordination
Before the event, I coordinate with your venue's AV team and event manager on load-in, power, the podium, wireless microphones and screens for presentations, and we agree on who handles what. If your venue doesn't have screens, I supply them.
4. Event Day
Setup and sound checks follow the arrival times confirmed with your venue, with the goal of everything tested and ready before doors open. During the program, the run-of-show follows your event timeline. If a presenter runs long, the timing adjusts calmly, and the music stays within the guidelines you set. Backup sound equipment is on site at every event.
Sound, Microphones and Production
Every corporate event is built on three things: careful planning, the right atmosphere and professional production. Here is what each one includes.
The Planning
Planning calls, a script I write for your program (announcements, the order of awards and name pronunciations), a written run-of-show built on your event timeline, and coordination with your planner, venue, AV team and other vendors. You work directly with me from first call to final invoice.
The Atmosphere
Music chosen for your audience and each part of the evening: relaxed background music for arrivals and dinner, confident walk-ups for the program, and a crowd-pleasing mix for dancing if your evening includes it. Clean edits are the default, and if you want a strict playlist or a theme for the night, that becomes the plan. Your do-not-play list is always honored.
The Production
Professional sound scaled to your room, wireless microphones for presenters, panelists and honorees, and complete setup and breakdown. Backup sound equipment comes to every event.
Optional Additions for Corporate Events
- Uplighting, including your brand colors, to set the tone of the room
- Wireless sound systems for presenters and panels, so every voice on stage is heard clearly
- Visual components, including TVs and screens for presentations and slides
These additions are there to support your program and your brand, never to compete with them. Available additions are listed in your proposal.

Request a ProposalCorporate Event FAQs
Do you MC as well as DJ?
Yes. DJ and MC services come together in one booking, so you coordinate one vendor instead of two. Introductions, announcements, transitions and program cues are handled on the microphone, and the music is managed around them.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. I carry $1M/$2M general liability coverage and provide a certificate of insurance on request. Your organization or your venue can be added as additional insured on request. If your venue has specific certificate requirements, include them with your inquiry so we can address them early.
Can you work with our accounts payable process?
Yes. A W-9 is available for vendor setup, you'll receive a written proposal and contract, and invoicing is AP-friendly. Purchase orders are accepted, and payment can be made by ACH, check or card. If your organization has its own vendor forms or onboarding steps, let me know when we first talk and I'm happy to work with your process.
How much does a corporate DJ and MC cost?
Corporate events start at $2,500. Every proposal is custom to your agenda, and you'll have it within one business day. Your investment depends on your date, the length of your program, your venue and the production you need.
How do we reserve our date?
Once you approve your proposal, you'll receive a written contract. A 50% deposit at signing holds your date. The balance is invoiced after your event and is due within 15 days (net 15), so your finance team knows exactly what to expect.
What if something goes wrong with the equipment?
Backup sound equipment comes to every event, so a technical problem doesn't have to become your problem.
Do you write the script for our awards and announcements?
Yes. Send me your agenda and I'll write and create your script: the announcements, the order of awards and name pronunciations, along with sponsor recognition and walk-up music. We confirm the spelling and pronunciation of every name ahead of time, your team approves the final version, and the program sticks to your event timeline.
Can you work with our venue's AV team?
Yes. I coordinate with your venue's AV team ahead of time to agree on who provides microphones, sound equipment, screens and the podium connection, so the handoff between presentations and music is clean. If your venue doesn't have screens, I supply them. If there's no in-house AV at all, I also provide professional sound and wireless microphones.
What music do you play for a professional audience?
Music that suits a mixed professional crowd: familiar, upbeat and appropriate for every age and background. I play to your request, whether that means clean edits (my default), a playlist your team has approved song by song, or music built around a theme. I also honor your do-not-play list and keep the volume where you want it during networking and dinner. If your evening includes dancing, the energy builds gradually so everyone feels welcome.
How much setup time do you need?
It depends on your venue, the production you choose and your load-in window. Nothing is left to chance. Arrival and setup times are reviewed and confirmed with you and your venue during planning, with the goal of being fully set up and sound checked before guests arrive. If your room is in use before your event, tell me and we'll plan around it.
Do you travel to Annapolis and the Eastern Shore?
Yes. I work throughout Greater Baltimore, Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, Kent Island and the Eastern Shore, including St. Michaels and Easton. For events outside that area, reach out. Travel fees may apply depending on location.
How far ahead should we book a holiday party?
As early as you can. Reach out as soon as you have a date or a short list of options, and I'll let you know what's available.
